Half a Century of Real Estate Closings

Johnson City Title Company isn’t a title company with an attorney on call. It’s run by attorneys, from the same Johnson City office where the McInturff family practices law.

Our mission is to protect our clients’ real estate investments through attorney-driven title services, delivered with experience, integrity, care, and a deep commitment to the community we call home.

Founded by Carl McInturff in the late 70s, Johnson City Title Company was established to serve the real estate needs of the region where our family has lived and worked for nine generations. Carl’s dedication to excellence inspired his daughter, Christy, who began working in title examinations and closings at just fifteen years old.

Today, this father-daughter team brings decades of proven legal experience to every transaction—providing personalized, knowledgeable guidance from title examination through post-closing. Every detail is handled with care.

We welcome clients at every stage of life: first-time homebuyers, growing families, retirees, and those choosing to call East Tennessee home for the first time.

Patty McInturff

Office Manager

Patty Brooks McInturff was a beloved pillar of the McInturff family and a foundational presence in the life of the firm. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and trusted colleague, Patty brought warmth, organization, and unwavering support to the practice and to all who knew her.

Born and raised in the region, Patty grew up active in her church and community, cultivating a spirit of service and connection early in life. She and Carl McInturff met as teenagers, beginning a lifelong partnership that would span more than five decades.... Following their marriage in 1975, Patty balanced work, family, and community involvement with grace and dedication.

After graduating from Virginia Intermont College, Patty worked for the Energy Research and Development Administration in Washington, D.C., and later for East Tennessee State University. She then devoted more than 40 years to the McInturff law practice as Office Manager and Bookkeeper, where her meticulous attention to detail and genuine care for clients helped shape the firm's culture and success.

Patty was deeply involved in her children's schools and activities, serving in leadership roles within local PTAs and supporting countless events and programs. Her favorite title of all, however, was "Nana"—a role she cherished, supporting her grandchildren in every interest and endeavor.

Her community involvement, loving spirit, and steadfast commitment to family and service left an enduring mark on those around her. Patty's legacy continues through the work of the firm and the many lives she touched with kindness, dedication, and joy.
